IT Helpdesk Coordinator

Al Ghurair Company Location Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Al Ghurair have an opportunity for a customer focused IT expert to join the IT Service Delivery team.

Reporting to the Manager of the IT Service Delivery function, the successful individual is required to attend to all IT Service requests from the group of businesses via telephone and e-mail in order to provide them with an efficent centralized IT Helpdesk service.

Typical Responsibilities:

• • • Ensure that all service requests and incident reports are logged, evaluated, dispatched, escalated, tracked, and resolved in an efficent, timely manner in order to meet business requirements.
    • Process requests for IT computing hardware procurement and coordinate between supplier, requester and respectivedepartments to provide business with timely hardware delivery.
    • Update and maintain the IT users and services data base and reconcile with HR to ensure consistent information of IT users and assets.
    • Generate and prepare monthly billing for respective business units at Al Ghurair to settle the service provider accounts.
    • Draft and dispatch office memorandum and mass mail notifications during service outage and maintenance to ensure the IT user base at Al Ghurair is always informed and updated of service/system outages and technological upgrades.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Systems / Electrical / Electronic Engineering is preferred, IT Diploma accepted;
• ITIL Foundation certificate;
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar IT Customer Service role with a basic to mid-level understanding of computer systems and various technologies;
• Proficient with MS office;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English language; Arabic is advantageous.
